We expect the title character of Mozart's opera to be the hero. But instead, Figaro's finacee, the maid, Susanna, drives the outrageous plotting to its successful conclusion. Susanna's improper but growing bond - dare we say friendship - with the noble Countess, is a glory of this revolutionary tale in whcih one marriage is on the rocks and one is suffering a most rocky beginning. Come hear how Mozart's music proves this all to be possible.
